Venue

CICM 2013 will take place at the University of Bath in Building 8W (GPS N53 22.788, W2 19.868). A campus map is available here.

Equipment

In the lecture hall there will be a networked PC connected to a beamer to which you can also connect your laptop. Please contact the organisers if you need additional equipment.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in University accommodation as well as the conference rooms via eduroam.

Travel Information

General travel information is available here. Below are JHD's very basic thoughts getting to Bath. Note that the conference is at the University of Bath at Claverton Down, and not at Bath Spa University.

Getting to the U.K.

The obvious airports are Bristol (BRS, 32 km from Bath) and Heathrow (LHR, 166 km from Bath). All methods except direct taxi take you to Bath Bus/Train station, from which you take buses 18 or U18 (different companies, same route) to the University of Bath (last stop).

Directions from Bristol

In decreasing order, JHD suggests
1. Direct bus to Bath: see bus website.
2. Coach to Bristol Temple Meads, then train to Bath Spa Railway station. A ticket machine inside the airport (just to the left of the exit doors) will sell tickets to Bath.
3. Taxi - costs £45 or so.

Directions from Heathrow

In decreasing order, JHD suggests
1. coach to Reading Station, then train to Bath Spa Railway station.
2. Heathrow Express train to London Paddington, then train to Bath Spa Railway station.
3. National Express coach to Bath Bus station.
The first two take about the same time, and end up on the same trains to Bath Spa, but the first is cheaper. The coach is significantly slower.

Directions from Gatwick

In decreasing order, JHD suggests
1. Train to Reading, then train to Bath Spa.
2. Gatwick Express train to London Victoria, underground (Circle Line Westbound) to Paddington, then train to Bath Spa.
3. National Express coach to Bath Bus station, which may well involve changing at Heathrow.
Again, the first two take about the same time, and end up on the same trains to Bath Spa, but the first is cheaper and less hassle. The coach is significantly slower.

Directions from Stansted

Train to London Liverpool Street, Underground (Hammersmith and City/Circle Line Westbound) to Paddington, then train to Bath Spa.
